Granulator System

Most granulators are designed for grinding other materials, and are adapted to the foam industry. Eagle Machine Design, Inc. is dedicated solely to the Re-bond industry, so our granulators are designed specifically for foam. Set beside any other system in the World, the difference is clear.

Eagle Machine Design, Inc. offers a wide variety of grinding options to meet virtually any need:

For lower production facilities, we offer a standard 48” pre-chopper with a 200 HP 36” granulator.

For those with higher production needs, we offer our 400 HP (2- 200 HP motors), 48" wide Granulator, which can be fed with multiply shredder options.

Our in-feed conveyor is powered by a 15 HP hydraulic unit which drives four direct coupled hydraulic motors. With this system, we have eliminated all but two drive chains, offering you smooth dependable service and substantially reduced maintenance headaches.

We have developed a special control package which monitors the amp load of the motor and automatically adjusts the conveyor belt speed through proportional flow hydraulic technology. This addition significantly increases daily averages.

We also offer a specially designed trash separating transition. Unlike the old magnet system, this transition removes all types of heavy particles. These transitions are the most effective method of removing trash from ground foam that we have seen.

For Bale Shredders, we manufacture a 200HP, 60” claw tooth style pre-chopper. The advantage of this machine is that it delivers a steady flow of small size particles to the granulator, greatly improving daily throughput. It is also less expensive than traditional bale shredders.

For those who prefer the traditional bale shredder, we also sell a 200 HP 72” x 46” Dual Shaft Shredder manufactured by Saturn Shredders.
